In her first game of AFLW for the Fremantle Dockers, Northam teenager Emma O'Driscoll has been praised by fellow teammates for her performance in the match that saw the side defeat St Kilda by one-point.
Fremantle have preserved their unbeaten AFLW run taking out a 3.6 (24) to 3.5 (23) victory against the Saints at RESA Park on Sunday afternoon.
Speaking to the Fremantle Dockers following the match, midfielder Katie-Jayne Grieve praised the composure O'Driscoll in the dying moments of the match.
O'Driscoll took two important marks the heat of the Saints attack, stopping them from scoring in the final minute of the game.
"She really saved us at the end with those two big massive marks to really hold the game up," Grieve said.
"(It meant) we could get it back down our end.
"Emma did that really well to hold us up at the end (of the game)."
O'Driscoll was selected at pick 51 in the 2019 AFLW draft, after a slow 2018 as the result of a broken finger.
The teen was a late addition to last weekend's line up with Evangeline Gooch sidelined with injury.
The side takes on Brisbane at Fremantle Oval next Sunday.
