Northam Senior High School staff have reassured parents that school will operate as normal on Tuesday following a small fire that led to the school being evacuated on Monday afternoon.
The fire, that started in a dust extractor in the design and technology facilities was reported at around 1pm on Monday.
A statement from the school said damage was minimal and everyone involved was safe.
"The school is safe after an small emergency where there was a fire in a dust extractor in D&T," the statement read.
"As a precaution the school was evacuated to the oval.
"Everyone is safe, the fire is out and there is minimal damage.
"Thanks to everyone for following instructions.
"School will operate as normal tomorrow.
"Thanks to the Northam Fire Brigade for their prompt action and work - another example of a community united."
