Kellerberrin aged care facility Dryandra Residential and Community Care Inc (DRCC) will see a change in ownerships and management in the new year, it has been announced.
DRCC and Baptistcare last week announce that Roshana Group will be assuming ownership and management February 28, 2020 pending approval by the Department of Health.
Raymond Griffiths, DRCC chairperson Raymond Griffiths said it was the perfect time to transition the service to a new provider who was keen to invest and operate in regional WA.
"Aged care is a highly complex, rapidly changing industry and the time is now right for the Shire to transition ownership of the service to an aged care provider," he said.
Roshana Group is based in Western Australia with over 20 years' experience in aged care and mental health support services, including four residential care facilities.
Baptistcare chief executive Russell Bricknell said it would be business as usual for the facility.
"Residents rights are protected and their security of tenure is assured," he said.
"All permanent employees at the facility will be offered employment with Roshana Group to ensure residents continue to be supported by highly skilled and caring staff," he said.
"Baptistcare would like to recognise all employees at Dryandra Residential Care for their ongoing care and support to residents.
"We are committed to managing this transition as seamlessly as possible, ensuring continuity of care with minimal disruption."
Baptistcare has been managing Dryandra on behalf of DRCC since 2015 with the management agreement due to conclude in February 2020.
Roshana Group chief executive Rosh Jalagge said the individual needs of residents and the on-going wellbeing of both employees and residents was a priority.
"We will consult with residents, families and employees to ensure everyone is confident, well informed and comfortable throughout the process," he said.
