The Holyoake Wheatbelt Community Alcohol and Drug Service (WCADS) new office was formally opened on December 4 by chief executive Angie Paskevicius and Nationals WA leader Mia Davies.
The formal opening was well attended by local residents, funding organisations, associates and staff.
In her opening address, Ms Paskevicius reminisced about Holyoake's first office in Northam, which opened its doors back in 1997.
Since then the service has expanded to Narrogin, Merredin and outreach services across the Wheatbelt.
Ms Paskevicius acknowledged the ongoing funding support from the WA Mental Health Commission, and the WA Primary Health Alliance through their Country Primary Health Network.
She also thanked Lotterywest for funding the fitout of the new Northam office.
Previously located across two offices at 4 Elizabeth Place and 95 Wellington Street, the new Holyoake office is now at 133 Fitzgerald Street.
