Commonwealth Bank Northam branch employees have donated $500 to the Northam Volunteer Fire Brigade as part of a nationwide community donation program.
The program saw Commonwealth Bank's Northam branch team vote to support the work of the Northam Volunteer Fire Brigade.
Commonwealth Bank Northam Branch Manager Clara Watson said the businesses' employees were committed to driving positive change within their communities.
"With the festive season approaching, it's a timely opportunity for us to show our support for the Northam Volunteer Fire Brigade," she said.
"In particular, we are pleased to be able to support a local, volunteer-based organisation, especially heading into the summer season.
"It's great to be able to give back and support their work."
The Commonwealth Bank has pledged to donate $500,000 nationally to recognise organisations that make a difference in the communities in which we live and work.
Over the next few months, each Commonwealth Bank branch and customer-facing team will donate an allocated $500 to causes important to their local community.
In previous years the Commonwealth Bank have supported local groups including the Northam Men's Shed, Northam PCYC, Wongan Hills Therapy Group and the Northam Highland Dancers.
