A cycling duo have visited the Wheatbelt town of York as part of a world record attempt to be the fastest women to ride around the world on a tandem bike.
TandemWow, made up of Catherine Dixon and Razzle Masden, rode into York last Tuesday on day 129 of their journey.
Leaving the UK in June 2019, so far the pair have crossed Europe, India and Asia on their pink tandem named Alice.
Riding unsupported across five continents, and averaging 130 to 160 kilometres per day, the girls are carrying all their own necessities including tent, sleeping bags and tool kit.
They were hosted by Hope Farm Guesthouse for their night in York WA and Cat Dixon was particularly delighted to visit York, being from York in the UK herself.
After a stamina building breakfast, their host Mike Bryant on his penny-farthing escorted Cat and Raz on their Tandem for a photo opportunity in front of the iconic York Townhall.
Next stops Merredin, Kalgoorlie and then across the Nullarbor - good luck ladies.
