Northam's STRYKA Fight Team followed up on their recent successful showing at the WAKO kickboxing tournament by again stepping up to represent the Avon region at the WA State Spring Novice Boxing championships.
Held in Leederville on October 12, the team snagged another three state level competition medals.
The WA State Spring Novice Boxing championship medal winners were "Savage" Sarah-Jane McCall 12yrs 46kg (Silver), Chris "The Beast Evans 13yrs 70kg (Silver) & Elijah "The Hitman" Jennison 14yrs 80kg (Silver).
The latest results now bringing the STRYKA Team state level combat sports championship medal tally for the year so far to 13.
STRYKA Head Coach Guy Mead was assisted in the corner by PCYC manager Jane Atterby.
Both expressed their immense pride in the incredible achievements of the team over the past ten months.
STRYKA Fight Team is a not for profit Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) incorporated sporting association that has been established for the sole purpose of providing local fighters from underprivileged circumstances & backgrounds with the opportunity to compete in their chosen combat sport of either Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jujitsu (BJJ) or full MMA.
It is important to note that STRYKA charges no coaching or training fee's whatsoever and makes no payments of any description to any coaches or any other staff instead, relying solely on the generosity of sponsors & private donations to pay for all associated expenses.
