The group Families of Polish Veterans for the Anzac Day march has organised a visit to the railway museum in Northam as part of its activities.
All interested persons are welcome to join us at 11am at the Old Northam Railway Station Museum on Sunday, October 20.
The museum has within its holdings cultural and immigration displays of interest to those who arrived in Australia after WWII.
We ask that if post-war immigration was your experience, which you may like to contribute to the museum's holdings by providing short stories, anecdotes and photos from that period.
The first European immigrants to be placed in the army camp arrived on the Anna Salen on August, 24 1949.
Gold coin donation, children free. BYO picnic lunch next to the Visitors Centre. For further information contact Terese 0407 387 410 or tuf@iinet.net.au
