Northam AFL talent Ian 'Bobby' Hill has been given the chance to show his skills on the big stage, being named to play in the Greater Western Sydney side against Collingwood during this weekend's preliminary final.
The small forward comes in for the side after a seven game playing streak following his debut in round 11 before missing selection for the side's finals campaign.
Hill replaces Lachie Whitfield who underwent surgery earlier this week to remove his appendix.
Giants coach Leon Cameron told the club he was happy to welcome the 19-year-old back to the line-up.
"It's great to have Bobby back in the team," he said.
"He's trained really well over the last few weeks and continued to work hard to take up any opportunity that presented itself.
"He's a real spark for us up forward and we're really looking forward to the pressure he puts on the opposition in our forward line."
The team selection follows the youngster putting pen to paper for a two-year contract extension.
Greater Western Sydney face Collingwood on Saturday afternoon at the MCG.
