A Southern Cross teenager is putting his artistic talents towards helping sick kids and their families.
Thirteen-year-old Scott Guerini has designed $2 and $5 Telethon donation cards which were launched at all 98 Coles supermarkets in WA last week. .
Scott, who hails from the Wheatbelt, has raised more than $150,000 for Telethon since age four.
Having written a book, designed t-shirts and walked six marathons to raise money for the annual appeal, the teen has now produced four designs for Coles' Telethon donation cards, inspired by Perth, Telethon and Coles supermarkets.
Scott said he thought it was important to help those in need and encouraged others to do the same.
"Telethon is special to me because they help sick kids and their families and being a kid, I know I'd want to feel safe and supported if I had to go to hospital," he said.
"I was very excited to find out that Coles had decided to use my artwork on the cards. It will be awesome to see my designs in the stores and cool to see people buying them.
"Two dollars doesn't seem like much, but it could make a huge difference to someone's life, so make sure you help the sick kids as much as you can."
Coles state general manager Pat Zanetti said Coles was delighted to offer Scott the rare opportunity of designing the special donation cards which will raise funds for Telethon and support local families experiencing hardship.
"We're really proud of Scott, not just because of his incredible drive to raise money for Telethon, but for his passion for art and encouraging the broader community to get behind Telethon," he said.
"Telethon's cause is close to the hearts of our customers and team members - many of whom have children of their own - so we are very proud to raise money for Telethon to help sick children and their families.

"We're delighted that Scott's creative designs are helping to raise awareness and much-needed funds for Telethon through all Coles supermarkets across the state."
