It's been a busy week at Wyalkatchem District High School this week with Book Week celebrations and the Year 5/6 assembly.
The kindy/PP/Year 1 class, ably assisted by their teacher Miss Williams and education assistant Mrs Holdsworth, harvested the crops from their garden to sell at the assembly.
Amongst the produce they had was broccoli, herbs of all kinds, spring onions and even some eggs from their chickens.
They raised $67.50 which will be used to purchase more seeds and seedlings for the summer crop.
The 5/6 class, with Mr Pereira, presented a wonderful item during which they took the school through their year so far from their surfing excursion to sports carnivals and everything in between.
The annual Book Week Dress Up Day was held on Monday and, as always, there was a fabulous array of costumes and characters.
On Wednesday evening Ms Chapman and Miss Williams invited students and their parents to join them in the library and they made super hero lollipops and masks before listening to a few stories while sipping hot chocolate with marshmallows.
Wendy Chapman is the library officer at Wyalkatchem District High School.
