August and September are busy times on the Northam Golf Club calendar with several of the year's major events occurring within the next four weeks.
With the course in magnificent condition the players were out on Saturday, August 10 to contest the Specialised Tree Services trophy, a stableford competition.
After a number of good scores being registered at the end of the day it wasn't unexpected that two players scores were tied at the end of 18 holes.
After a countback Mike Spadaccini was declared the winner with Michael Speciale being relegated to the runner-up position, both with a score of 38 points.

The Corolin Cup - Day 1
The Corolin Cup was a two-day stroke event played over August 17-18, with the scores also counting towards the Club Championships.
With several days of rain during the week the course played very long; with little run on the fairways the greens were true but fast.
The winner of the Corolin Cup would certainly have to work hard over the two days to register a winning score.
At the end of the first day Steve Dinka and Kevin Smith had the best score of 69 nett however 10 players were within striking distance of the leaders and the Corolin Cup was still anybodies for the taking.
