Cunderdin Golf Club hosted the 2019 Avon Valley Ladies Golf Association Championships on July 31 and August 1 and 2.
The three days had perfect weather and the course was in excellent condition.
There were 12 clubs represented from the Avon Valley region.
The Four-Ball-Best Ball par event held on Wednesday was won by Deb Mills and Ann Johnston of Quariading with +11 on a countback from Nolene Kaszanski and Theresa Chitty of Bolgart.
Wednesday night we were all entertained by some fabulous skits.
Bolgart took out the Oscar with a hilarious edition of The Front Bar.
A special guest appearance by Eugene, looking for a date with Kelly Brown was the highlight of the night.
Thursday night we were served up a delicious roast by the Cunderdin Hockey Club.
Nola Chatterway of Goomalling came in with the sensational scores of 82 and 77, 159 to win the Championship, the Helen Ward Memorial Cup, from Sharon Richards of Quairading 82 and 84, 166.
Sue Shenton from Quairading won the Carol Crombie Jug to be the AVLGA Bronze Division ( 24 - 39 Handicap) winner with a gross score of 180.
Sandy Thomson of Cunderdin was runner-up with a score of 183.
The Marjorie Young Shield for veterans was won by Nola Chatterway with 43 points on a countback from Wendy Kerr of Pickering Brook.
The 36-hole stableford event was won by Wendy Kerr of Pickering Brook with 81 points.
Runner-up was Alison Rowland with 79 points.
