Northam Senior High School has hosted WA's former chief scientist, Professor Lyn Beazley, when she visited the school for a presentation to students.
During her visit, Professor Beazley spoke on a number of different topics, including how science and technology have benefited people in the Wheatbelt and Northam region, and what employment may be available for students, due to innovations in automation and agriculture.
Professor Beazley's presentation was inspirational and gave Northam Senior High School's new STEM program and students further encouragement to be creative and explore possibilities in these areas.
Professor Beazley has an impressive resume, including several board positions in exciting fields such as; neuroscience, bionics, and radioastronomy.
Professor Beazley was awarded Australian of the year for 2015, and was inducted into the Western Australian Science Hall of Fame in 2014.
