A range of Wheatbelt primary schools will benefit from a share in $10 million that will be used for the construction of updated administration and toilet upgrades, and covered assembly areas.
A total of $6.72 million has been allocated for administration upgrades, $2.16 million for toilet upgrades and $510,000 for covered assembly areas.
Dalwallinu District High School, Koorda Primary School, Quairading District High School, Wongan Hills District High School and Wundowie Primary School will each receive new toilet blocks as part of last week's funding announcement.
Dowerin District High School will receive $510,000 for the construction of a new covered assembly area.
Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery said facilities audits had been undertaken by the Department of Education at all pre-1980 primary schools.
She said applications from schools for upgrades were assessed and ranked by priority.
"We are spending nearly $10 million on upgrades to administration blocks, toilets and covered assembly areas with 13 of these 28 projects in regional WA," she said.
"This investment at WA public schools will improve our schools and create jobs for Western Australians."
The funds are allocated for the the coming financial year.
