A Northam fighter has taken out a convincing in at last weekend's Pacific MMA Red Dust Fight Show in Kalgoorlie.
Northam PCYC STRYKA Fight Team participant Mitchel 'Baby Bull' Daley (15yrs - 62kg) went on a rampage and charged to a completely dominant 2nd round TKO victory over his opponent Joseph Wi John
The bout, which was fought under WA Combat Commission Kickboxing rules, was originally scheduled for three two-minute rounds but it soon became clear that this fight was never going the distance.
'Baby Bull' quickly won over the partisan and very vocal Kalgoorlie crowd by ferociously attacking from the opening bell and constantly keeping his bigger opponent on the back foot for every second of the first round.
He relentlessly stalked the local fighter around the ring utilising his excellent cardio conditioning and superior power to continually force the pace and flow of the fight.
Having been thoroughly dominated for the first two minutes of the bout, Wi John gamely tried to rally back at the opening bell for the second round but quickly wilted under the continuous onslaught of powerful kicks & punches from the rampaging Baby Bull.
This prompted the referee to issue a standing eight count less than a minute into the second stanza.
Upon sending Daley to a neutral corner, a quick look into the clearly dazed & shell shocked Wi John's eyes was enough for experienced referee Alan Pond to then immediately call a halt to the action packed bout.
This latest dominant kick boxing victory comes only two short months after Mitchel won the WA State Schoolboy 63kg boxing Championship in spectacular fashion in March.
His achievements have not only put the WA Combat Sports fraternity on notice that the 'Baby Bull' is a rising star with a bright future but has further served to cement his burgeoning reputation with local fight fans as an all action fighter who loves to fight and never takes a backward step.
Mitchel 'Baby Bull' Daley fights for Northam's own STRYKA fight team out of Northam PCYC and is coached by Guy and Fi Mead.
