What a huge day for the Federal football Club last Sunday with Wade 'Freddy' Hunter playing his 400th game for the club and Ron Pitts our oldest living life member celebrating his 90th birthday.

The Reserves game had Federals bounce out of the blocks kicking with the breeze and holding Quairading at bay as they peppered the goals kicking 3 goals, 4 points to Quairading 1 goal, 2 points for the term.
The second quarter saw Quairading lift their rating taking control and if not for goal front inaccuracy could have established a handy lead at the long break; scores being Federals 4.5 (29) to Quairading 3.8 (26).
The third tern was an even affair with both sides giving their all but neither side could gain the upper hand as they ended the term with Quairading trailing by four points.
Scores: Federals 6.7 (43) to Quairading 5.9 (39).
The final quarter allowed Federals with goal front accuracy extend their lead kicking 4 goals, 1 point, while Quairading with inaccuracy kicking 1 goal, 4 points handing Freddie's a 20-point winning margin; scores being Federals 10.8 (68) to Quairading 6.12 (48).
In the League match Federals were on fire in the first term winning in most positions on the ground to lead Quairading a merry dance by kicking seven goals while holding the Bulls to 1 goal, 1 point a lead of 35 points.
The second and third term saw Quairading respond to the challenge matching Federals in all facets of the game to outscore the home side reducing the margin to 21 points; scores being Federals 13.1 (79) to Quairading 9.4 (58).
The last quarter was a cliff hanger with Quairading kicking with a handy breeze at their backs reducing the margin as time passed to eventually take the lead, only to have Federals respond late in the term to hold a five-point advantage.
With all the spectators' hearts pounding in their chests and with seconds remaining the Bulls were awarded a mark as the siren sounded and from the 50 metre arc kicked truly to snatch a victory by one point and send their supporters into a frenzy.
Final scores Quairading 15.5 (95) to Federals 15.4 (94).
The Federals Fillies Girls had a resounding win over the Quairading Belles in the netball.
Scores: Fillies 71 goals to Quairading Belles 25 goals.
