In pleasant conditions at Northam Oval, Railways registered their first win for the season, notwithstanding Quairading fought back valiantly in the final term.

Final quarter fade outs have plagued the home side for each of their three games this year.

Railways won 15.9 (99) to Quairading 12.10 (82).

Railways were in control of the match for the first three quarters, taking a 48-point lead into the last term.

To the Bulls' credit they whacked on 7.2 to a laborious Railways 2.1.

Steve Cacetta continued his excellent form through the centre, and John Armstrong and Chris Holmes also put in solid contributions for the Bombers.

Veteran defender Glen deBlecourt proved he still has what it takes at the senior level.

Railways made it a winning double with their Reserves side winning 9.7 (61) to 6.8 (44).

It was Senior coach Nathan deBlecourt and Reserves coach Terry Bell's first win in their new roles. Well done.

Railways have a bye this week, clashing with York at Northam Oval on May 19.
