York's best ANZAC biscuit baker has been crowned for 2019, with the York Community Resource Centre holding a competition for the second year.
The annual event was held at the York CRC on Wednesday, April 24.
This year's 10 entrants had a tough judging panel to impress, made up of local residents and ANZAC biscuit enthusiasts.
Bronwyn Hewett took out the top award, walking away with the coveted trophy, followed by runners up Helen Granger and Sue Norris.
The judges said the key to a good ANZAC biscuit is a soft and buttery texture with a slight crunch.
They said the use of golden syrup is a must and that the traditional Country Women's Association recipe is always a favourite.
