Young people within the Shire of Northam have been celebrated during Youth Week.
Not-for-profit Avon Community Services brought together entertainers and activities from around the region for a day focused on our local youth.
Merredin-born artist and performer Phil Doncon was a feature of the events bringing his Paint Storm performance to onlookers.
His choreographed painting performance shared the message of acceptance of failure and building resilience.
Avon Community Services youth worker Tricia Chrimes said the annual event was thoroughly enjoyed.
"One of the aims of this program was to show our youth that they are important members of our community, that being inclusive is a way of life and everyone can achieve their dreams," she said.
"We try to reinforce with the youth that no matter where you come from in life you can achieve anything.
"It's all about having your safe network around you, moving forward and respecting yourself and others."
Other activities included face painting, boxing and a barbecue.
Youth Week WA ran from April 13 to 20, 2019 with the theme 'Nurture the Now'.
