Homegrown talent Sydney Stack has been praised by coach Damien Hardwick following his AFL debut.
Although going down to Greater Western Sydney by 49 points, Stack helped the Tigers lead at the first break, kicking his AFL first goal 14 minutes into the first quarter.
The 18-year-old finished the game with 17 disposals and eight marks.
Coach Damien Hardwick praised the debutante for his 'terrific' talent.
"We've always known that this kid can play, and we probably picked him tonight on a little bit of a speculative buy but the reality of it is he was fantastic," Hardwick said post-match.
"Some of the things he did - he's very clean with the ball in hand, makes terrific decisions and is strong.
"We've got a player that understand that he has got to continue to work hard and continue to work on his craft but we think we've found a player.
"That's what presents itself in these times of player loss; we lose Jayden Short tonight and Trent (Cotchin) with a hamstring.
"It gives two more players the chance to stand up and play some games for the Richmond Football Club."
The Richmond Tigers finished round three at 14th place on the AFL Premiership Ladder and take on Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval next Saturday.
