Thirty-five years on from a tour of south-east Asia, swimmers from various clubs from around the Wheatbelt will be meeting up for a reunion on the weekend.
In 1983 swim team manager Shirley Stephen and chaperone Margaret Slater took a group of swimmers to Asia for a series of swim meets.
The tour began with a meet against Singapore Swimming Club on December 4, 1983.
The Western Australian team took out 20 of the 48 gold medals on the program.
Memory Lane 2019 will be held at the Northam Swimming Club rooms from 9am to 4pm on Sunday, April 7.
The event will be open to all members of the public, especially those who have been linked to the club since its inception.
Shirley Stephen said the history of the club is important to recognise.
"It's the continuation of heritage," she said.
"Once we lose it we don't have any stability.
"It's part of the town.
"This was the first 50 metre pool in the area.
"The members of the club were the bed rock of swimming in Western Australia."
Mrs Stephen, who is the longest running life member of the club said there will be visitors from Moora, Beverley, Goomalling, Northam and Wundowie for the reunion.
She said she was also pleased to welcome Swimming WA chief executive Darren Beazley and longtime swimming coach Simon Redmond back to the town.
