The Merredin Show is shaping up to be one of the biggest and best yet, so make sure you get along and enjoy the day on Saturday, March 30.
Show Day commences with the float parade at 9.30am and if last year’s winners Merredin Rep Club, Merredin Men’s Shed, Newton’s Home Furnishings and Harold Millington are anything to go by we can only imagine what floats will be entered this year.
Junkadelic will be bringing their fun New Orleans Street sound to the float parade, so get down to Bates Street or Barrack Street and have a look.
The gates open at 10am at the Recreation Centre with the official opening by Nationals WA leader Mia Daviesat 11am.
The Merredin Show Committee have been working hard to bring you some different entertainment each year.
With the recent name change from ‘The Merredin & Districts Agricultural Society Inc’ to ‘Merredin Show Inc’ we are looking to modernise the entertainment and cater for all ages.
This year there will be few more ‘techy’ entertainment, such as RaceKraft Virtual Reality Racing simulators and Reel Tech Fishing simulators.
Although not a full agricultural show anymore, we still like to include our animal friends, so this year we have Incredible Creatures mobile petting zoo who will give you a chance to cuddle some cute animals, West Aussie Reptiles with their slithery snakes, Ivan with his four legged friends droving his sheep throughout the crowd during the day and for those that prefer their animals much bigger, there will be the Colonial Clydesdales who will be giving rides on the oval throughout the day.
As darkest arrives at around 7.30pm the fireworks will light up the sky.
