Since this article went to print Angela has visited Dr Teo who advised that no operations would be needed at this stage because her turmour is stable.
The family was told if Angela has any regular dizziness, seizures, RHS numbness, speech issues to come straight back to Sydney.
The generosity of the York community has fast tracked a local mum's trip to Sydney to have her brain tumour operated on by Dr Charlie Teo.
Angela Plichota was diagnosed with a meningioma in August 2017, and has since completed six months of radiotherapy and 12 months of chemotherapy.
She was told by Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital that they could operate on her tumour, so alongside a group of friends, affectionately known as Angela's Angels, the group contacted neurosurgeon Dr Teo.
Upon agreeing to a consultation in Sydney, the Angel's set to raise $150,000 to help cover the costs to get Angela and her family over east.
Speaking to the Avon Valley and Wheatbelt Advocate in December, Mrs Plichota said she hoped to make the trip to Sydney by June 2019.
This meeting has been fast tracked to March thanks to the fundraising efforts of the community.
"There's been a lot of fundraising, a lot of laughs and the help of the Angels," Mrs Plichota said before she left for Sydney last week.
"The support in this town has been tremendous.
"With all their help, thoughts and willpower it's got us to Sydney earlier which is awesome.
"At this stage we have booked in for two weeks over there but that will be extended depending on how I go with the surgery on March 20.
"I meet Dr Teo on Tuesday for the initial meeting and then I'll be in surgery."
Mrs Plichota said a big part of the trip will be making positive memories with her husband and four children.
"It means a huge amount to be able to have them alongside me," she said.
"I'd be lost without them.
"As Dr Teo said we need them over there because when I come out of surgery they are the ones who know me best.
"I've also got one of my older sisters coming over and my mum a little bit later.
"It's about making good memories for the kids.
"We will be doing the bridge climb and going to Taronga Zoo before I go in for surgery."
So far the fundraising has been able to cover the cost of accommodation and doctors appointments with the airfares being donated to the family.
Mrs Plichota said the surgery itself will cost more than $92,000 which Dr Teo is happy to be paid off over time.
The Angel's said they hope to raise $70,000 on top of what is still in the bank, in order to be able to pay off the procedure.
One of Angela's Angels Sarina Narkle said the amount of support from the community in a short amount of time has been appreciated.
"Considering our first fundraiser was on December 1 we've come a long way," she said.
"We've been emphasising to people in town that just because she is going over we still have to keep going and pay off the bill."
Mrs Plichota said in the lead up to her trip to Sydney her phone has been off the hook with well-wishers sending their support.
