Wyalkatchem District High end of year awards and farewell to graduates | PHOTOS

Students at Wyalkatchem District High School have been celebrating the end of the school year with their end of year awards night and Year 10 graduation. 

The six graduates were treated to a graduation at Slater's Homestead in Goomalling on Thursday, November 22.

Four students will be continuing their schooling at Cunderdin Agricultural College, one will be going to John Forrest Secondary College and another to Northam Senior High School.

The school’s presentation night was held on Wednesday, December 5 where students performed items around the them of Christmas. 

The Kindy, Pre-Primary and Year 1 students did an item to Aussie Rocking Around the Christmas Tree, Year 2, 3 and 4 sang Mamma Mia, Year 5 and 6 performed a dance to Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer Rap, Year 7 and 8 performed The Elves and the Shoemaker, and the Year 9 and 10 class performed A Child's Christmas in Wales by Dylan Thomas.

  • Year 6 Primary Dux award – Leah Jonas
  • Year 6 Endeavour award – Maya Nicholls
  • Primary Citizen award – Harry Nightingale
  • Year 7 Academic award – Emily Bradshaw Van Essen
  • Year 7 Endeavour award – Makayla Gee
  • Year 8 Academic award – Caitlyn Wilson
