Rob and Dianne Tinetti wanted a new hearse that would never go out of fashion.
So in 2011 Purslowe Tinetti Funerals purchased a four-door 1928 Buick Sedan in Victoria and transported it to WA.
The process has been long in finding the right person in WA to do the conversion, but finally the vintage hearse has been competed,
Given that country funerals generally involve up to a 200km journey the original 6 cylinder, 3 speed crash gear box was swapped with a V8 Auto, Jaguar suspension and brakes have been fitted along with a few mod cons for the comfort of staff.
Separate airconditioning was installed for the coffin compartment to keep the flowers fresh.
Electric batwing side windows open for the built in PA system speakers to swing out for cemetery services.
The Tinetti family said they are very pleased with their new hearse and are extremely grateful to Steve Houlahan for taking such a big project.
They said they also appreciate the assistance from Paul Higgins of ACC Higgins in building the polished timber flooring of the coffin deck.
Over the past 25 years Rob and Dianne have conducted many funerals using vintage vehicles, trucks, utes and even tractors as hearses, by family request.
They are pleased to be able to offer another alternative, alongside their Harley hearse they built in 2017, to create personalised, memorable farewells for families.
