Last weekend saw Round 3 of the Northam Cricket Association’s 40 over competition. Bakers Hill hosted Toodyay Cricket Club at Bakers Hill oval, while Grass Valley and Ballardong played at Bert Hawke oval. A warm day for cricket saw some great games being played. The end of the Toodyay and Bakers Hill was a real nail biter. The Toodyay boys chose to field first and had Bakers on the run with them being 8 for 73 in the 26th over; to then have a nine-wicket partnership that brought up their total to 9/156 (cc). When it came time for Toodyay to bat they were in a bit of trouble, being 4/10 after 13; but steadying the ship they only fell short by 26 runs.
