For the first time in many years the 360 Sprintcar Power Series returns to Avon Valley Speedway on Saturday October 20.
The Power Series is the top 360 Sprintcar competition in Western Australia and competes across the state at tracks in Perth, Narrogin, Albany, Esperance and Kalgoorlie.
The Northam based venue will be a new track to most drivers except defending Power Series champion Ben Butcher, who raced several season’s at Northam aboard the track promoter’s in-house sprintcar.
Last season Butcher won a competitive series and has indicated his intention to defend the series title.
Kalgoorlie’s Ray Leonard finished runner up last season and will be very keen to start the season strong with a win aboard his machine.
Other cars to watch out for include Ryan Lancaster, Daniel Harding, Mitchell Wormall who all have experience in the 410 Sprintcar class.
Also featuring on the cards is a good field of V8 powered Pro Modifieds, Speedcars, Formula 500s and Outlaw Karts.
Outlaw Karts are a new class to the venue that run on a purpose built inner track.
Pre-show racing begins at 4.30pm with the main program from 6.30pm.
