Holyoake’s Wheatbelt Community Alcohol & Drug Service will be offering their counselling services after-hours to accommodate for those who work full time or find it difficult to attend during regular hours.
The WA Primary Health Alliance and the Country WA Primary Health Network has provided funding for residents in Northam and surrounding areas to access free counselling.
On Sundays appointments will be available from 9am to 1pm at the Northam Family Practice and on Thursdays from 4.30pm to 9pm at 4 Elizabeth Place in Northam.
Holyoake chief executive Angie Paskevicius said time can be a major barrier for people who would like to access counselling services.
“This will go a long way towards making our service more convenient for residents in the Wheatbelt,” she said.
“It is a further expression of our continued commitment to offer life-changing services to individuals, families and communities.”
