Northam based community services group Share & Care have been awarded with the Gold Workplace badge through the Mental Health First Aid Skilled Workplaces initiative.
The program recognises workplaces for their commitment to mental health first aid training.
Share & Care have provided mental health and respite support services in partnership with consumers across the Wheatbelt since 1997 with the ethos of recovery in mind.
From the twelve months following October 2016 Share & Care had contact with 6,997 clients who recieved support, advocacy, referrals and links to other agencies, respite for carers and educational material.
Share & Care chief executive Carol Jones said as an organisation it was rewarding to have recognition for the dedication and the passion that staff display daily.
