The Avon Youth Girls football competition held its last game for the season on Saturday 12 August.
It was a perfect day for football which saw some brilliant skills and goal scoring in the final game for the 2018 season.
Avon Youth Girls is a competition for girls aged 13 to 18 with teams from Bindoon, York, Northam with a mixed Wheatbelt team for Cunderdin, Tammin and Merredin.
This girls celebrated the milestone of the completion of their inaugural season with a sausage sizzle donated by Quin’s Butchers in Northam.
Organiser, Tanya Cox from Kellerberrin said she wanted to thank the coaches and volunteers that supported the competition.
“A big thankyou to Sarah Roberts the coach of the Northam team, Paul Manning, Peter Wright and Chantelle Cable from York, Sam Jenner from Bindoon and her team of support crew,” Mrs Cox said.
“Thank you to Nick Norrish who umpired all the games in Northam for the girls.
“Thank you to the KATS, Federals and Railways football clubs for their support in allowing us access to the ovals and facilities before reserves games.
“We look forward to continuing to grow the game and competition in 2019.”
