Railways Fast Tarts showed last Sunday they are grand final contenders by knocking out Kella-Tammin Kats by 13 points.
They led all game in attack with strong leads from Meg Thomson and great shooting from Ashlee Annels. Tyler Mahoney showed her versatility to play in defence with Dakota Narrier and Molly Dickson. Fifteen-year-old Molly not only stepped up to defence in the last half but helped guild the centre court in the first half and showed maturity beyond her years. An unwell Madison Hunter came into centre at quarter time and helped Tarts gain a 11-point lead at the half. Kiya Jacobsen had her hands over every ball in WD and her pressure was a game winner. We will welcome back Katie Leeder who played but was very unwell and Kate Swenson from injury for our pre-lim final on September 2. Thanks to everyone who came to support our girls.
After a well earned rest the League and Reserves teams travel to York this Sunday to take on the Kats and Feddies in the second semi final, the winners to go straight into the grand final.
The club urges all members and supporters to please get down to York and support the boys as they chase September glory.
