A whopping $100 million is on offer on Thursday night as OZ Lotto’s Powerball’s Division One prize – the equal largest jackpot in Australian history.
This massive sum has only been reached once in the past, with $100 million on offer back in 2012 – four lucky players shared the incredible prize.
With no-one matching Powerball’s winning numbers for seven consecutive weeks after last week’s draw, interest will be high.
Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said this was a major moment for Western Australian Lotto players.
“This has become the largest Powerball jackpot offer, overtaking the $80 million record which had been reached twice,” she said.
“More records could be broken next week if one ticket takes home the $100 million prize, as it will become Australia’s largest ever Lotto win, smashing the current record of $70 million which was won in 2013 and 2016.”
Tickets for the upcoming $100 million Powerball jackpot are available until 6pm from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.
