Two Victorians have been charged after more than 2.5 kilograms of drugs were found in a vehicle in Northam, on Sunday.
Wheatbelt District police were conducting an alcohol and drug operation on Great Eastern Highway, near Northam, as part of an increased police presence on the roads for the Avon Descent weekend.
A drug detection dog indicated the presence of drugs in one of the vehicles stopped.

Police allege a package containing 994 grams of methylamphetamine was hidden inside one of the doors.
One package containing about 820 grams of methylamphetamine and another with just under 700 grams of heroin was found concealed in the vehicle’s sub-frame.
A 28-year-old Victorian man has been charged with two counts of possessing methylamphetamine with intent to sell or supply and possessing heroin with intent to sell or supply.
A 29-year-old Victorian woman has been charged with two counts of possessing methylamphetamine with intent to sell or supply, possessing drug paraphernalia and possessing heroin with intent to sell or supply.
The man and woman were refused bail and have appeared in the Perth Magistrates Court.
They are next due to appear in the same court on Monday September 17, 2018.
