Northam residents will need their umbrellas if they plan on stepping outside this weekend, according to the Bureau of Meteorology’s forecast.
Friday morning’s sunny skies could soon be a thing of the past with the Bureau predicting up to 21mm of rain across Saturday and Sunday, along with harsh winds.
Saturday is expected to cop the brunt of the cold front’s conditions, with a 100 per cent chance of rain and up to 15mm set to fall on the town.
But while the rain drops on Sunday conditions are still expected to worsen with showers and winds up to 40 kilometres per hour.
Showers are likely to ease off on Monday, but will continue throughout the week with a small rise in rainfall to come on Wednesday.
It won’t be until Thursday that the chance of rain drops below 80 per cent.
