The WACFL has named a strong 22-man squad, including five Avon players, ahead of the annual interstate clash with the South Australia Country Football League next Saturday, 28th July.
After a drought breaking 40 point win last year on home soil, the New Holland State Country side will return to Adelaide Oval looking to taste success for the first time at the home of South Australian Football.
James Turner (Beverley), Matthew Outridge (Quairading), James Venturini (Keller/Tammin), Mitchell Gill (Quairading) and Alex Moreno (Federals) have all been included in the 22-man squad.
The squad will travel to Adelaide next Friday ahead of the clash with the Croweaters which will be a Curtain Raiser to the Saturday night blockbuster between Adelaide and the Melbourne.
To compliment the final 22 selectors have named an extended 35-man squad to provide cover for this weekend’s round of fixtures.
