July 4 is historically a day for all Americans to celebrate Independence Day.
Wednesday, July 4 in Northam, is a celebration for members at the Lions Club, meeting to hear of a young lady’s achievements.
It was an evening when the Northam Lions were privileged to hear of Molly Dickson’s recognition of a dream to represent Australia, as an inaugural member of the under 19 floorball team.
Molly has recently travelled to Helsinki, a training camp prior to attending the world championships and a week of competition in Herisau, Switzerland, representing Australia.
Upon returning her time has been equally busy. Fortunately for the Northam Lions, they had the pleasure of Molly and her dad visit the club meeting, to enlighten them all of her amazing trip, and highlights of her exciting journey.
From the beginning of Molly’s presentation every Lions member was entranced with her story, and felt the pride and commitment that she had experienced and treasured during the intense weeks of her dream. The Lions Club Of Northam was proud to be one of Molly’s sponsors together with other volunteer clubs and businesses in Northam.
“Molly’s courage and enthusiasm is catching and we congratulate her for her amazing experience she shared with us,” a Lions Club spokesperson said.
“Well done Molly and your courage and enthusiasm to fulfil a dream and make it come true is certainly an achievement you can be truly proud of. Thank you for your time to visit our club and we now await your next sporting dream.”
