Last Sunday Railways Football Club took on Kellerberrin/Tammin and came away with mixed results.
The Reserves recorded a stunning 82-point victory, but the League team suffered their second loss to the Kats this season by 16 points.
The ressie boys were fired up early against the only team to beat them this year and kicked five goals to nil in the first quarter to set a match winning lead, and the Kats were never in it.

Major goal kickers for the day were Bailey O’Driscoll, who finished with seven goals and is getting better and better every game he plays; along with Austin Riley who kicked three in a best on ground display and two each to Shannon and Mainy Davis.

The League had a tight tussle with top of the table Kats which was played on a glorious day in Northam, and with the sodden Henry St oval slowly drying out both teams put on a good spectacle.
The first quarter saw the Kats have all the early play in their forward half but wasted opportunities kicking four behinds.
Stokesy’s boys made the most of this and a mark to Keplar Bradley resulted in the first game of the game.
Both teams kicked one more each for the quarter to see Railways take a slender three-point lead at the break.
The second quarter was very similar with Railways wasting opportunities kicking 1.4 for the quarter with the Kats kicking 3.2 to lead at half-time by the narrowest of margins; RFC 4.5 – Kats 4.6.
The Kats dominated the third kicking four goals to one, and after an undisciplined free kick and goal after the siren had all the momentum and took a 21-point lead into the last.
Keller kicked the first goal to make the task hard but the Bombers never gave up and after some late goals fell 16 points short.
Final scores: RFC 8.9 (57) – Kats 10.13 (73).
Kepler Bradley kicked three goals and Campbell Hunter finished with two; singles to John Army, Tyrone Garlett and Cody Kickett, who made a welcome one-off return to play with his younger bro Jordon.
Best players were Jeremy Power, James Morris, Natahn de Blecourt, Steven Caccetta and John Armstrong.
