A house fire on East Street in Northam has caused an estimated $300,000 damage, with the fire believed to be started by a child.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services were called out to the property at 9.49am on Sunday 17 June, to reports of a fire in the kitchen.
The fire was contained by 10.23am with it fully extinguished by 11am.
DFES said it was their understanding that the fire was started by a child who lived at the property.
Three crews from Northam Volunteer Fire Rescue Service attended to the fire alongside one crew from Toodyay.
