Vanessa and the Showjumping team head to China on the 3 July, 2018 for a week abroad.
They will be competing at the Yangshan Equestrian centre of Wuxi city, Jiangsu province on the 7-8 July.
The competition is made up of two rounds of Showjumping at 60cm and 90cm.
They will then compete is several rounds of mounted games, all of which is done on borrowed ponies.
Showjumping involves riding over various fences and obstacles and a course generally consists of 10 to 13 jumps in which the rider is tested both in skill, accuracy and fitness of both horse and rider.
Mounted Games is a high speed, action packed sport which involves a lot of speed, skill and great hand- eye coordination.
These two disciplines combined require a lot of trust between both horse and rider and also a great partnership must be created.
