On the 11th November 2018 the Northam RSL Sub Branch will be holding a weekend of celebrations.
This year is the 100th year in which the Armistice was signed to see the end of WW1.
This will be a time for the Northam RSL Sub Branch and the community of Northam to come together and celebrate.
As part of the celebrations the Sub Branch are looking for clean empty plastic cool drink bottles to recycle into Red Poppies.
The poppies will be planted in Bernard Part on the morning off the 11th November following church service.
In helping with the making of the poppies several groups have put their hands up. At this point the Sub Branch would like to thanks the Men’s Shed and the group of willing supporters at Bethavon.
Over the next few months the Northam Memorial Hall will be open so if you would like to help the project you are more than welcome.
Morning and Afternoon tea will be provided.
If you wish to stay for the whole day please bring lunch.
The hall will be open from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm, Friday 22 June, Friday 27 July, Friday 24 August, Friday 21 Steptember and Friday 19 October, 2018.
