If you have driven past Mount Ommaney this week you would have noticed construction taking place for Northam Eco Lifestyle Village.
Works started on Monday 28 May with the first stage of the project due to be completed in 12 to 13 weeks.
The houses are being built by Modular WA led by Wayne McGrath and backed by the Wyllie Group, with the overall project being directed by Mike Hollett of H&H Development Enterprises.
Overtime the village will see more developments taking place with plans for a clubhouse, pool, spa, gym, men’s shed and organic gardens to take shape.
Members for the Shire of Northam, H&H Development Enterprises, Modular WA and the Whyllie group attended a turning of the sod at the site on Wednesday 30 May, 2018.
Shire of Northam President Chris Antonio said he was pleased to see private sector developments taking place within the Shire and said it was great to see the works underway.
Stage One of the project involves the creation and development of 17 lots.
These lots will include display homes.
