A Northam man charged with 47 speeding offences has appeared in Northam Magistrates Court to transfer his charges to Armadale for sentencing.
Glen James Michael Patton has been charged with four counts of driving a motorcycle at speeds exceeding the speed limit, seven counts of reckless driving, twelve counts of no authority to drive, twelve counts of failing to display a number plate and twelve counts of driving an unregistered vehicle.
Patton’s lawyer, Mr Scudds said his client intended to plead guilty to all 47 charges at his next appearance, on 5 June at Armadale Magistrates Court.
Between 6 February and 27 February 2018, Patton was allegedly captured by fixed and mobile speed cameras 11 times riding his motorcycle between 28km/h and 101km/h over the posted speed limit.
On one occasion, the motorcycle was captured travelling at 213km/h.
Police will allege Patton was caught travelling at the following speeds:
- 213km/h on Great Eastern Highway
- 183km/h Roe Highway
- 182km/h Roe Highway
- 169km/h on Toodyay Road
- 161km/h on Roe Highway
- 159km/h Great Eastern Highway
- 152km/h Great Eastern Highway
- 146km/h Roe Highway
- 139km/h on Roe Highway; and
- 130km/h on Roe Highway
The 36-year-old, is due to appear in the Armadale Magistrates Court on Tuesday 5 June 2018.
