Last Friday St Joseph’s School hosted a special event to celebrate Mother’s Day.
The day started with a special school assembly presented by the Year 4 class including a video tribute to mums from each of the students in the class.
Following the assembly, the students were very excited to take their mums to the undercover area and make them a tea or coffee.
There were also cakes and sweets on offer which were especially enjoyed by the children.
As well as a delicious morning tea, mums also received a small posy of flowers and a pen as a gift from the school.
“It is always a wonderful event to have our families share a special time with us,” said St Joseph’s School principal Carmen Cox.
“Once again we had a full house of mums, grand mums and family members joining us today.
“The Year 4 Assembly highlighted our blessings and how each mother is a special and unique gift.”
The morning tea was hosted by the school.
It was great to see so many families come along and enjoy the morning.
Family is a big focus of the school and Mother’s Day and Father’s Day events have always been special for the students.
Each year these events are getting bigger and bigger.
