Major Crash officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a motorcycle rider who was involved in a traffic crash in Mundaring yesterday, 25 April 2018.
Around 3:30pm, a black Honda motorcycle was travelling east on Mundaring Weir Road near Hall Road.
A silver Toyota Hilux was also travelling in the same direction.
The motorcycle overtook this vehicle and whilst doing so, clipped the Toyota Hilux, causing the rider to lose control and enter a gravel verge on the right hand side of the road.
The motorcycle rider entered back onto the road into the path of an oncoming vehicle, a grey Holden Club Sport and this resulted in both vehicles colliding with one another.
The 25 year old male rider of the motorcycle received critical injuries as a result of the crash and died at the scene.
The drivers of the other vehicles did not receive any injuries.
Major Crash officers would like to speak to anyone or saw the crash or either the Honda motorcycle, Toyota Hilux or Holden Club Sport prior to the crash.
