The play
Set in 1950’s working class Melbourne, in the seventeenth summer where two mates, on yet another ‘layoff’ season, come back to ‘live it up’ in the city with their girlfriends.
However, this summer, things begin to change.
Seething with passion, disappointment and heartbreak, where not even love can protect those who refuse to see the realities of the changing world around them. With ‘FIFO’ and ‘DIDO’ now being a normal part of life for many Australian families, this play is more relevant to our audience than ever before.
CAST INCLUDES: Jacob Allan, Michael Cameron, Mackenzie Dunn, Vivienne Garrett, Amy Mathews, Kelton Pell and Alison van Reeken
DIRECTED BY Adam Mitchell
SET & COSTUME DESIGNER: Bruce McKinven,

Lotterywest
Lotterywest CEO Susan Hunt PSM said the organisation was proud to support Black Swan State Theatre’s live broadcast to regional audiences.
“What a lot of people don’t realise is that every time you purchase a Lotterywest product you support the people of Western Australia. Lotterywest supports almost $270million of grants per year to the Western Australian community,” Ms Hunt said.
“And that’s on top of the $440million that goes to winners every year in Western Australia.
“In this case, people in regional communities will have the opportunity to experience high quality live theatre without travelling to the city,” she added.
“It’s a great example of how money from Lotterywest products benefits the community.”
Black Swan’s Executive Director Natalie Jenkins said, “We are thrilled to be able to present the 2018 Lotterywest Live Broadcast, with the support of our principal partner Rio Tinto, and regional partners Water Corporation, Thrifty Car and Truck Rental and Chevron.
The live broadcast provides a great social and cultural opportunity for rural, regional and remote communities demonstrating that high quality live theatre performances can be delivered to all West Australians, no matter where they live.”
