Major Crime Squad detectives have located the body of a man, believed to be Dean Patrick White, in a camp area north of Quairading.
The investigation into his death is ongoing.
Detectives and a Mobile Police Facility set up on Quairading-York Road on Wednesday, to continue their investigation into the disappearance of Dean Patrick White who was last known to be in the Quairading area on March 31 2017.
Investigators are still seeking to identify and speak with a family who are believed to have provided a lift to a male person from the Quairading town site to a camping area to the northern side of the township on or around 1 April 2017.
The male person who was provided the lift was approximately 40 years of age and white skinned.
Mr White was a regular traveller who had been camping in March 2017 on the Murray River in Victoria.
He then drove back to WA to meet someone near Quairading, with the last reported contact of him on March 31.
Mr White was reported missing by family in August 2017 after failing to get in contact following his father's death.
Mr White lived and travelled in a white 1989 Toyota Landcruiser with a blue trailer, which was involved in a single-vehicle crash in Queensland later in June.
