FORMER Toodyay resident Josh Flaherty is appearing in the sequel to the smash hit Run For Your Wife at Limelight Theatre.
Flaherty plays the teenage son Gavin Smith.
“He’s pretty stubborn, outgoing and outspoken and very persistent, especially when it comes to meeting Vicki who he’s met online and wants to meet in person,” he said.
“The play itself has been a challenge because I’ve never seen a farce nor been in one so I didn’t know what to expect.
“Sometimes when we’re all on stage I need to remember we aren’t always in the same apartment – so it’s important not to look at what’s happening in the other apartment on stage.”
First stepping up to the stage last year, Flaherty has appeared in Cinderella: A Fairytale at Garrick Theatre and Robin Hood: The Truth Behind The Green Tights at Roleystone Theatre.
“The script for the Caught in the Net is unbelievably funny and I really wanted to be a part of something that was going to make audiences laugh,” he said.
“I also knew working with a director like Susan Vincent would be an experience that would help me a lot as an actor starting out.”
Caught in the Net plays at 8pm May 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 12 with a 2pm matinee May 6. Tickets are $21, $18 concession – book at www.limelighttheatre.com.au or on 0499 954 016 between 9am and midday, Monday to Friday.
Limelight Theatre is located on Civic Drive, Wanneroo.
