The mission of the Toodyay Early Years Network is 'nurturing children and families to be happy, healthy and strong through building connections'.
The EYN has participants from the Toodyay community and Toodyay organisations working together toraise awareness and importance of early learning activities in Toodyay.
The network includes representatives from the WA Country Heath, Family Day Care, Great Beginnings, Toodyay, Community, Wheatbelt Health Network, Toodyay District High School (TDHS), Toodyay Shire, Wanslea and Toodyay Playgroup.
Chairperson, Toodyay Child Health Nurse and TDHS Nurse, Bree Byfield said the group wants to give Toodyay kids the best start.
“What happens to children in their early years matters a great deal to a children’s development,” she said.
“This can then have future social and economic impacts.
“We really want our Toodyay kids to be thriving.”
The Toodyay EYN are putting together 100 'welcome packs' for new families to the area that will detail current early learning activities and services within the town.
