Constructed in 1908 as Northam’s original post office, Northam Family Practice is a fully bulk billing medical centre that has no out of pocket expenses for consults that can be billed to Medicare.
As your local general practitioner, the practice offers chronic illness treatment, skin cancer checks, immunisations, women’s health services and medical exams.
The friendly team can help you with the management of hypertension, diabetes, hypercholesteremia, COPD, asthma and more.
They offer skin checks, skin cancer surgery and can keep a photographic record of skin lesions, so you are able to notice any early changes.
“If you have a skin cancer that needs to be removed, the procedure can be done in the practice, with a small fee for atheistic and dressings, the procedure can be bulk billed to Medicare. As minor procedures and iron infusions are carried out in the practice there is no need to travel to have these performed,” said practice manager Melanie West.
Visiting specialists include audiology, sleep clinic, a private orthopaedic surgeon and psychologists.
